Maribor Puppet Theater is celebrating 50 years!

We celebrated with a house festival between November 28th and December 3rd, 2024.  November 28th is the day of the first premiere after the official professionalization of the theater (Flying Cow, 1974); Every year, December 3rd is This Happy Day of Culture in Slovenia, when we open the doors of cultural institutions even wider. Our celebration took place between these two important days. 

About 2,000 people saw all the events of the festival – performances, exhibitions, light installations, the book presentation and the extension of the museum. Most of the performances were sold out, there were many unforgettable meetings of old friends, we were especially happy for those who came to us for the first time.

During the celebration, Zverinice v lutkah in slikah is on display.  Part of the festive program is also a light installation in the Minorite Church Fragments of space. In Trafika near the City Park, we prepared the exhibition "Lutkovni zverinjak obišče Trafiko". 

During the celebration, the house is decorated with "Marogice", 2500 balls on the facade of our monastery.
